Self Harm & Suicide Awareness Workshop
This workshop is designed to raise your awareness of the importance and impact of suicide or self-harm, how to respond to someone who you are concerned about, or assist someone in a crisis.
The Workshop will explore the following:
Why is it important to know about suicide?
How many people take their own lives?
Why do people attempt suicide?
What effect does suicide have on friends and family?
Are there any signs that someone is contemplating suicide?
What to do If you think someone is contemplating suicide
How to support someone who has been affected by suicide
What is self-harm?
Why do people self-harm?
How you can support someone who is self-harming
This workshop is delivered through a blend of informative slides, videos, interactive activities, case studies and group discussion. to facilitate an engaging and thought-provoking session.
This creates for a fun and interactive learning environment despite the highly emotive subject.
This workshop like all our mental health training and workshops are carried out by a Registered Mental Health Professional so you are always in safe hands.
As with all our Mindmaps Wellbeing courses all delegates will receive an e-certificate of attendance upon completion of the workshop.
Due to the content on this course being highly emotive some delegates may find it distressing and are therefore free to leave the room at anytime. By using Mindmaps Wellbeing you are in safe hands with the knowledge you have got a trained mental health professional delivering the training.
