Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Workshop
This workshop will explore some basic principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), whilst practising key skills and utilising helpful tools to support someone to engage in self-help using CBT.
What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)? CBT is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions and behaviours, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.
The Workshop will explore the following:
What is CBT and the evidence base
CBT techniques for Anxiety
CBT techniques for Psychosis
Challenges to applying a CBT based approach
Advantages and disadvantages of using CBT approach

This workshop is delivered through a blend of informative slides, videos, interactive activities, case studies and group discussion. to facilitate an engaging and thought-provoking session.
