The FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health is a comprehensive course accredited by Nuco Training. It’s designed for individuals in supervisory or managerial positions who are responsible for promoting a positive mental health culture and overseeing first aid for mental health within an organisation. 

 

Here’s a brief overview of what the course entails: 

 

Duration: It’s a 2-day course that can be delivered on-site, or online with a skilled instructor, who is a Registered Mental Health Nurse. 

 

Content: The course provides skills for First Aid for Mental Health, in the knowledge and confidence to support an individual struggling with their mental health and signpost to relvant support. 

 

Certification: Upon successful completion, learners receive an Ofqual regulated Level 3 Award, valid for three years. Annual refresher training is strongly recommended. 

 

Assessment: The course includes ongoing practical assessment by the instructor, along with a written assessment each day. 

 

Candidates: Minimum of 14 years
